Privacy
Last updated 27 September 2026.
This page says plainly what this website does with your details. It is written for the site as it runs today. If we add a tool that changes any of it, this page changes the same day.
Who we are
The Boston Artistry LLC, 69 Water Street, Hingham, MA 02043. Questions about privacy go to nandita@thebostonartistry.com or (617) 710-6786.
What we collect, and why
The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, phone number (optional), what you are planning, and a message. It also records which page you sent it from and your IP address, which we keep only to stop spam. We use this to answer you about a party, class, camp, workshop, membership or event. Nothing else.
Your phone number is used to call you back about your enquiry. We do not send marketing text messages.
Where it goes
The form is emailed to the studio and a copy is kept on our web host so that a mail problem cannot lose your message. Enquiries are deleted after 90 days unless you become a customer, in which case your booking details live in our booking system, Sawyer.
The waiver form on /waiver/ asks a parent or guardian for their name, email, initials, their child's name and anything we should know about the child, such as allergies or medication. It is emailed to the studio and kept as the signed record of the waiver, not deleted after 90 days.
Family Drop-In, newsletter and merch pre-order sign-ups are also added to a Google Sheet the studio uses to follow up. They stay there until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
Cookies and storage
This website sets two kinds of small file in your browser. One is a flag that lasts the length of your visit, so that a review pop-up you closed stays closed. The other is a 90-day cookie called tba_src that remembers how you first found us, for example a Google search or an Instagram link, so we can tell which of them brings families to the studio. It holds no name, email or address. Google Analytics and the advertising tags below set their own cookies for the same reason.
You can clear or block all of them in your browser settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we switch the advertising cookies off automatically. Visitors in the UK and the EU get no analytics or advertising cookies at all unless they ask for them.
Other companies that see data
- Google Analytics 4. Counts visits, which pages are read and which buttons are pressed, so the studio knows what people come for. It records your rough location (town level), your device and where you arrived from, never your name. Google's own page on it: how Google uses data from sites that use its services; you can switch it off everywhere with Google's opt-out add-on.
- Google Ads. Tells us which advert, if any, brought you here, so money is not spent on adverts that bring nobody. Your advert settings live at myadcenter.google.com.
- Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram). The same job for the studio's Facebook and Instagram posts and adverts. Your settings live in Meta's ad preferences.
- Google Fonts. The typefaces load from Google's servers, which receive your IP address when the page loads.
- Sawyer (hisawyer.com). Bookings, waivers and payments happen on Sawyer, under Sawyer's own privacy policy.
- Google Gemini (Google AI). A question typed into the "Ask us" window is sent to Google's Gemini service to write the answer; on Google's free tier those messages may be used to improve Google's products. Please do not type personal details into the window: use the form or email instead. The questions are also kept on our web host for 90 days, with no name and no IP address, so we can add the answers the window did not know.
- Google Maps. The "Get directions" link opens Google Maps, which then follows Google's policy.
- YouTube. One journal post shows NBC10 Boston's segment about the studio. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; then the video plays from youtube-nocookie.com under Google's policy.
We keep this list current. If we add a tool that sees your data, it is named here the same day.
Children
This website is for parents and adults booking for their families. We do not knowingly collect personal details from children online.
