Accessibility

We want every parent and every kid to be able to use this website. This page says where we are, honestly.
The standard
We aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the site.
What is in place
- Every photograph has a written description. Decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Every link, button and form field works with a keyboard, and the enquiry form explains an error next to the field it belongs to.
- The list of experiences on the home page can be moved through with the keyboard; focusing a row shows its picture.
- All motion, including the paint effects and the pop-up reviews, is switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Text colors are checked against the background for AA contrast at every size.
Known limitations
- The paint-on-the-page effect in the hero, and the object you can paint beside it, are decorative and work with a mouse or a finger only. Nothing on the site depends on them.
- Bookings happen inside Sawyer, a separate service whose accessibility we do not control.
- The site has not yet been tested with a screen reader by a person. That test, with VoiceOver on iPhone and a desktop screen reader, is scheduled before launch and every quarter after it. The date of the last test will be written here.
