I’m Nandita, the designer behind The Boston Artistry, a creative haven in Hingham, MA, where art, fashion, and community come together.

Before founding The Boston Artistry, I spent over a decade designing for global brands — from Reebok to Zara — bringing ideas to life through fashion, footwear, and product design. My professional journey took me across the world — from Milan, where I studied fashion, to the UK, where I earned my Master’s degree in design. Those experiences taught me how creativity can be both meaningful and wearable — art you can live in.

After years in the industry, I felt called to create something more personal — a space that nurtures creativity in others and celebrates art in everyday life. Armed with a car full of supplies and a passion for design, I started hosting pop-ups and community art events wherever I could. What began as a one-woman venture quickly grew into a vibrant studio, now home to workshops for families, children, teens, and creative adults.

At The Boston Artistry, everything we make has a second life. From sneakers you can wear, to totes you can carry, to denim jackets, sports balls, skateboards, and surfboards you can show off — every creation is meant to be lived in, used, and loved. We even take art outdoors, guiding children and communities in designing their first murals, transforming blank walls into symbols of joy and togetherness.

Our workshops are more than just gatherings; they’re bursts of color, laughter, and imagination — a place where sustainability meets self-expression. I’m endlessly inspired by the fearless creativity of the young artists who join us. Their playful energy fuels my own, reminding me why I started this journey: to make fashion fun, sustainable, accessible, and full of heart.
